New products GB-BRi5-8250, GB-BRi7-8550, GB-BRi5H-8250, GB-BRi7H-8550 from Gigabyte. Gigabyte has officially announced its new range of BRIX equipment.That comes with eighth-generation Intel Core processors, including quad-core processors with the Coffee Lake architecture.
Gigabyte announces new BRIX equipment with Coffee Lake
In this way, Gigabyte is making four new systems available to amateur users. Also, two of which provide space to install M.2 2280 solid-state drives together with 2.5-inch units to enjoy all of the features. The benefits of the SSD and the mechanical disks in the same incredibly compact equipment. In addition to this, they have 2 SODIMM DDR4 slots. That allows the installation of up to 32 GB in dual channel.
Other features of these new devices are the inclusion of Mini DisplayPort and HDMI video outputs, a USB 3.1 type A port, a USB 3.1 type C port, two USB 3.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet network interface with the Intel i219-V controller, dual microphones and a 3.5 mm jack for headphones. An expansion card with Wi-Fi 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity and a handy VESA mounting bracket are also available.

- GB-BRi5-8250 – Core i5-8250U (4-core / 8-thread, 1.80 ~ 4.00 GHz, 8MB L3 cache, 25W TDP) / M.2 SSD.
- GB-BRi7-8550 – Core i7-8550U (4-core / 8-thread, 1.60 ~ 3.40 GHz, 6MB L3 cache, 25W TDP) / M.2 SSD.
- GB-BRi5H-8250 – Core i5-8250U (4-core / 8-thread, 1.80 ~ 4.00 GHz, 8MB L3 cache, 25W TDP) /M.2 SSD / 2.5 “.
- GB-BRi7H-8550 – Core i7-8550U (4-core / 8-thread, 1.60 ~ 3.40 GHz, 6MB L3 cache, 25W TDP) / M.2 SSD / 2.5 “.
Gigabyte has not given any information on the prices. But it is expected that they are very similar to those of the BRIX equipment of previous generations.
