Garmin has just shown its latest equipment. It is a Garmin Instinct smartwatch that is based on the GPS module and was developed for special tasks. The watch is designed to be particularly useful for athletes who often run or go mountain biking. The watch is already on the market.
Garmin Instinct comes with a three-axis compass, a barometric altimeter and three satellite navigation systems (GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo). The latter are important because they allow you to track the user’s location even in the farthest corners of the world. In addition, the watch has a TracBack Garmina function that leaves digital crumbs on our route and allows us to easily navigate to the starting point.
Of course, the smartwatch is also equipped with typical Smart Watch accessories, such as a pulsometer as well as monitors for daily activity, calorie consumption, sleep quality and stress (measured by changes in heart rhythm). In addition, we also get the full range of sports applications in one package.
Garmin also explains that smartwatch has military standards in terms of water resistance, shock resistance, and temperature. The device operates up to 14 days on a single charge in smartwatch mode, 16 hours in GPS mode or 40 hours in UltraTrac (dynamic GPS on/off). The equipment will be available in three colors and we will pay $299.99 for it.
