Firefox Nightly is a next-generation web browser developed by Mozilla. In the last update to the beta version, the company added a feature that many users are asking for, namely to block automatic playback media such as audio or video, which is often played without your permission when you enter a page, and which not only overuse data, but also slow down your Internet connection. Well, now with Firefox Nightly you can avoid these inconveniences.
As Firefox developer Dale Harvey reports, this feature allows users to mute all websites that play automatic media each time they log in or select whether or not the media is blocked each time they visit a site. Of course, automatic playback can also be authorized if the user so wishes.

This feature comes with version 63.0a1 of this browser. The media items that play when a web page loads activate a pop-up notification under the address bar – if you select the “Always ask” option, as you can see in the video. However, this function does not block videos that do not contain sound or are muted by default.
Like Firefox, several browsers have implemented these functions. It has recently been discovered that Chrome has also introduced this feature. If you want to try this functionality of Firefox, you can download the beta version via the following link.
