Final Fantasy 7 remake delayed until 2022 for PC, due to Playstation exclusivity extension

In a little over a month, the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be on PS5. The improved and more complete version of this remake has been shown in a new trailer of the most spectacular that Square Enix has released, and we strongly recommend that you don’t miss it.

Of course, if you’ve already played through the original Final Fantasy remake or if you don’t care about spoilers otherwise, it’s recommended that you take a look since we warn you that it includes quite a few, with fights against some final bosses and other cinematic sequences that are very advanced in the storyline.

Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, in which it reveals that Playstation exclusivity has been extended. According to the team, the game will be available exclusively on PS5 for at least six months.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake was originally a Playstation exclusive for at least a year. Since Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be released for PS5 as early as June, we can assume that the PC version will not be released until 2022.

There is no doubt that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be coming to more platforms. It’s clearly on the docket. However, we don’t know if Square Enix will meet the timelines or not.

In case you didn’t know, SEGA announced earlier this year that Judgment would be coming to PS5, Xbox Series S | X, and Stadia in April. In addition, SEGA announced that the sequel Lost Judgment will be released on September 24 for PS and Xbox platforms. There is currently no information on if and when these two games will be released for PC.

Last but not least, I’ve included the latest Final Fantasy VII Remake intergrade trailer below. Although this is for PS5, it does contain news of the PS5 exclusivity agreement.
