With the Feel Three, you get the feeling of movement in virtual reality games or experiments. This simulator offers unique sensations and immersion.
In order to manipulate the brain and give it the illusion that it is something real, virtual reality usually uses two senses: seeing and hearing. But the absence of movement often spoils the experience and reminds the brain that the experience is not real. Feel Three offers the feeling of movement, acceleration, and displacement, which is not only a more realistic and sharper immersion but it also offers incredible sensations. Since pictures are sometimes worth more than a long description, here is a video demonstration.
Feel Three: 3 degrees of freedom and thrills
Feel Three comes in the shape of a hemisphere with a bucket seat, harness, and controllers. Once strapped in, the user can experience strong sensations while standing at the center of the seat. Once buckled in, the user can experience strong sensations while standing at the center of the scene, and his whole body follows the movements and accelerations offered by the experience of virtual reality. There are 3 degrees of freedom with 100-degree inclination and rotation available. It also proposes vibrations. All the possibilities are really impressive.
It is designed to offer a large number of sensations at a much lower price than other existing systems such as Samsung’s articulated arm or the impressive MMONE system. The device is completely modular and you can install the controllers of your choice (pedals, steering wheel, joystick, etc.), depending on whether you want to simulate a car race, a fight in space, or a flight simulator in an airplane.
A big success on Kickstarter
It is designed for a lot of games. Already today more than 80 virtual reality games are supported. The unit has also been developed for other applications such as classic games without VRs as well as for dynamic films that offer a motion to the viewer. Feel Three is an ideal device for amusement parks and virtual reality centers, but also individuals can purchase it. There are different models available for this device at very reasonable prices.
A fundraising campaign was started by Crowdfunding on the Kickstarter platform to finance the upcoming marketing of the simulator, which you can view here. This has been a great success. In just 5 hours, the goal of $65,038 was achieved with the campaign that has just begun. It costs about 670 Euro for a standard version with a couple of movements and 2235 Euro for the full version. The first deliveries are planned between March 2019 and June. After the Kickstarter campaign, prices are expected to rise.
