Forwarding messages is something many users do in applications like WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. Although it’s usually a way to spread hoaxes or false messages. Therefore, many applications become active, such as Messenger. Because they want to limit the number of instances a message can be forwarded.
Facebook Messenger will limit message forwarding
It’s a feature like the one you already have on WhatsApp, which attempts to stop the spread of hoaxes and false messages by restricting forwarding. Therefore, it is now used in this other application.
In the case of Facebook Messenger, a message can be resent a maximum of five times. This is something that is intended to limit the circulation of many messages. In addition, if a message or user regularly re-sends many messages, this can be considered a suspicious activity that could forward or distribute false or inappropriate content.
This measure is currently under development, so it will take a few more months before the request is made. No date has yet been set for its official launch, probably sometime this year. Especially since there are elections in America, a date on which false reports are disseminated intensively.
It’s not uncommon for a similar feature to appear on Facebook Messenger, which also functions as a messaging application after a similar feature was introduced on WhatsApp over a year ago. We look forward to learning more about when this feature will be introduced to the application.
