EVGA’s Precision X1 application offers automatic overclocking

EVGA has officially introduced its new Precision X1 overclocking program, which offers users a new design and new features that have never been seen before, giving us more precise control overclocking of our graphics card, fan speed adjustment, and RGB lighting.

Precision X1 can overclock our graphics card automatically.

Precision X1 comes with a new feature called OC Scanner, which allows Nvidia graphics card users to automatically adjust and test their graphics card to get the best overclocking values with the system completely stable instead of manually searching for the best values.

According to EVGA, the new OC scanner function only works with “Nvidia Turing” graphics cards, so it will probably not be available on previous generation graphics cards.

Automatic overclocking would only be possible on Turing GPUs.
This could be because it uses a technology called Nvidia Scanner, which is only available in Turing graphics cards. Precision X1 is the first application that will use something similar. But it is quite possible that other tools like MSI Afterburner will have similar functionality in future versions.

So, the purpose is to make life easier for users who want to overclock their graphics cards, but don’t know exactly which values to change to raise the frequencies. Today it’s about trial and Error’, the values are increased. And the graphics card is tested with a benchmark tool or directly with a game, if it doesn’t fail, we increase the values further. With OC Scanner, we don’t store this whole process.

Also, the EVGA Precision X1 tool offers users add new features, including voltage monitoring for supported EVGA graphics cards, RGB control, an OSD, custom fan profiles for multi-GPU systems and screen capture functionality in each game. EVGA has not announced the release date of this new overclocking program. Although it is likely to coincide with the consumer version of Turing, which will be released on September 20.
