EVGA unveils three new Intel Z370 motherboards

EVGA today introduced three new motherboard models based on the new Intel Z370 chipset. That, of course, has been prepared for the new Coffee Lake processors released yesterday. First, we have the new EVGA Z370 Classified K. That will top the EVGA range on this platform, with a motherboard ready for overclocking with a 13-phase VRM design.

The new board has PCIe ports and DIMM-reinforced slots, while the storage consists of three M.2 slots (one for 2232 units only as WIFI + Bluetooth combo cards) and six SATA 3 ports. As for LAN two Killer, Gigabit networks have been used with Double-Shot Pro technology that allows you to combine both ports to obtain speeds of 2Gbps and finally has been chosen for sound by a Creative Sound Core 3D 5.1.

The motherboard has two 8-pin and 4-pin EPS connectors and two high-quality heatsinks connected by a heat pipe. The I/O zone has been prepared with a perforated shield to improve ventilation of the heatsink and the area.

Secondly, we have the EVGA Z370 FTW plate, with a similar design to the Classified K but with a more humble 11 phase design. It continues to feature enhanced PCIe and DIMM slots, but dispenses with the dual network Killer in favor of a single Gigabit Intel i219V network, while the sound has also been changed to the more usual Realtek ALC1220 with great performance.

Also, the second EPS connector of 4 pins has been eliminated to him with respect to the previous model, as we said, being a model of the electrical design of great benefits but something simpler.

EVGA Z370 Micro Specifications

And finally, we have the new EVGA Z370 Micro. That is a microATX version with a 9-phase power design that retains many of the benefits of its older sisters. And has been specially prepared to conceal the cables from the lower zones horizontally. So, that the overclockers do not have to deal with cable solutions to add liquid nitrogen refrigeration solutions. The board dispenses with one of the M.2 slots.  And one of them has been placed vertically to hold an Intel Wifi 802.11ac + Bluetooth network in this format.

Another major change is that PCIe 2.0 x1 ports have been removed in favor of a single PCIe 3.0 x4 port, which will not serve to connect a third NVIDIA GPU, but if to have a PCIe SSD card in this format.
