Details of the first Snapdragon 600 series with 5G appear

New details appeared for Snapdragon 600, a  brand new 5G chip. Qualcomm is under severe threat from a wave of Chinese competitors offering very affordable 5G chips. Not only Mediatek or Hisilicon but also Unisoc recently launched the Hisense F50 5G with the Unisoc T7510. Qualcomm’s answer will come with a new 600 series Snapdragon processor.

And frankly, it’s getting late. The Snapdragon 765 is a great processor, but it’s expensive and it still forces brands to make some compromises on global specifications. Some of their competitors can’t even get to the Snapdragon 765 in terms of performance and even connectivity, but they offer a much more compelling price point to massively expand 5G technology, and Qualcomm was surprised, perhaps too confident.

So the solution is to extend 5G connectivity to the Snapdragon 600 family. According to the User Digital Chat Station, the model will be SD6350 and will have an octa-core configuration with 2.246GHz power cores and 6 efficiency cores at 1.804GHz. The graphics will be Adreno 615 to 850MHz.

The time frame for the introduction of this processor is not yet known, but Qualcomm cannot afford to wait because the competition is not resting.
