Among all the new products presented by Dell at CES 2018, two new Ultrathin monitors with HDR IPS panels stand out. The new S2719DM and S2419HM of 27 “and 23.8” respectively, have a display of the only 29mm of maximum thickness.
Also, the most elegant areas reach up to 5.5mm, with a design of fragile frames InfinityEdge. The new IPS panels used to allow viewing angles of up to 178 degrees and are capable of accurately reproducing more than 99% of the sRGB color space.
Dell introduces the Ultrathin S2419HM and S2719DM monitors with 600 nits of brightness and HDR
The two monitor sizes also differ in the offered resolution, since the 23.8 “model conforms to the usual 1920 x 1080. Even, its older brother opts for 2560 x 1440 pixels. Both units arrive with the new DisplayHDR 400 certifications with a brightness peak of 600 nits, which is an improvement of 200 nits compared to the previous IPS models.
The first includes a 27-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, while the second is 23.8 inches with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. Both use IPS panels and have a response time of 5 ms, with a static contrast of 1000: 1.
Both monitors have a maximum brightness of 600 nits compatible with HDR, but they remain in an official VESA certificate DisplayHDR 400, which means that it has an authentic 8-bit panel. Being of the Ultrathin line, they only have 5.5 mm frames thanks to the InfinityEdge system. They cover 85% of the DCI-P3 color space and 100% of the sRGB.
The two new Ultrathin IPS monitors will be available starting at the end of the month with a price of $ 299.99 for the S2419HM and $ 499.99 for the S2719DM.
