The fact that Dell has fantastic monitors is something we all agree on, they are now moving into the education sector with their new series of UltraSharp smart monitors that will be shown at GITEX Technology Week 2018.
At GITEX Technology Week 2018, the Dell UltraSharp U4919DW 49-inch monitor was presented with a resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 32:9. It features an IPS panel designed for maximum productivity and is combined with Dell’s screen management software, which allows the user to split the screen space across multiple applications or even multiple computers to work on all simultaneously.
However, the real star of the series was the Dell UltraSharp C8618QT 86-inch 4K interactive panel monitor. With a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and 16:9, this device is designed for meeting rooms and classrooms rather than a direct customer experience. It has a modular design so that users can connect a small CPU to the rear.
The idea is that most smart monitors often slow down over time and reduce productivity over time as they are used. Dell’s solution is that users can remove and replace the computer component as needed to ensure that the monitor remains useful for even longer periods of time. The combination of the very precise InGlass touch technology, which allows multiple people to touch and draw on the screen at the same time creates an amazing experience for professionals.
If we want to use it for games, we have to consider a limitation before game monitors and say that the Dell U4919DW only works with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It also has a maximum brightness of 350 cd/m², 1000:1 contrast, 99 percent coverage of the sRGB color space, and a response time of 5 milliseconds.
In the connectivity, it has an input in the form of DisplayPort 1.4a, two HDMI 2.0 jacks, one USB Type C port and five USB 3.0 ports.
Price and Availability
Regarding the price and the arrival on the market, we know that the Dell U4919DW will debut with a price according to its characteristics, with a number which will be at 1 699 dollars when it will arrive in the shops on October 26.
