Corsair announces DDR5 memory advancements, up to 51 GB/s support

Corsair announces the inclusion of DDR5 in its catalog in a post on its blog. The date is scheduled for the third quarter of 2021. It will target PC gamers and the consumer PC market. We also have the promise of high frequency with 6400 MHz already.

The manufacturer Corsair is officially positioned on this new generation of memory. The DDR5 will land in its offer through new kits.

DDR5, calibrated at 6400 MHz, is already well advanced with a throughput of 51 GB/s or twice the bandwidth of DDR4, calibrated at 3200 MHz.

Frequency is not the only argument, because capacity is also cited. Corsair plans modules with 128 GB. At the moment, we don’t have any details about the planned kits, but it is likely that the offering will be a new Dominator offering.
