Samsung has already realized its new flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, a mobile called to be the great protagonist of the last months of the year and to face to face to the next iPhone 8 that will be presented in September. But as Apple’s new smartphone arrives, it’s time to look at the other South Korean mobiles. How are they different from the Samsung Galaxy S8and the S8 +? We analyze it.
To the naked eye, few differences, especially with the S8 Plus. Samsung brings a bigger and improved mobile in some technical features, in addition to an S Pen, but the fact is that Note 8 follows the path marked by the S8 and, above all, the S8 +. Same processor, same internal memory and same MP for the cameras.
Design

The first difference comes in the aesthetic. Not because there are design changes since it is the same as S8 and S8 +, but in size. Of course, Note 8 is larger reaching 162.5 mm, compared to S8 remaining at 148 mm. It also gains weight, with 195 grams, while the S8 reaches 155 and S8 + 173 grams.

The screen also grows. Not in technology, as it is still SuperAMOLED, but in inches. If in the S8 it was 5.8 and in the S8 Plus of 6.2, the Note 8 goes to 6.3 inches. All without giving up ergonomics as it still fits in one hand and is easy to handle.

Processor, memory, and RAM

Few differences in this section. The three phones mount the same processor, Exynos 8895 octa-core (2.3 GHz + 1.7 GHz). They also share the same storage capacity, 64 GB expandable to 256 GB with a microSD card.
The novelty comes with the RAM. If the S8 and S8 + have 4 GB of RAM, Note 8 rises to 6 GB which will give the phone more fluidity in heavy tasks.

Image quality remains a top priority for Samsung and is demonstrated in their cameras. Of course, with news also in this section. In fact, they are much more than the S8 +, although more powerful: 12 MP dual rear camera with OIS (the S8 has a single 12 MP camera) and 8 MP rear for the three mobiles.
The Note 8 features a wide-angle lens that allows you to shoot in low-light conditions and a telephoto camera that provides an optical zoom with two magnifications to capture from near and far.
In addition, in Note 8 the cameras have optical image stabilizer that will avoid the moving images, even with zoom.
Operating system and battery
While the S8 and S8 feature Android 7.0 Nougat, Note 8 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat. Too hasty to see in the new mobile Samsung Android 8.0 Oreo presented days ago by the Mountain View, although probably not too late in reaching South Korean mobiles.
On the battery, step back from Samsung. The S8 had a 3,000 mAh battery that was up to 3,500 mAh on the S8 Plus. Note 8 is halfway between the two, 3,300 mAh. In all three cases, with fast and wireless charging.
