So from his new headquarters, now based in Kowloon, Hong Kong (he was initially based in San Diego in the US), Mad Catz announced his resurrection under the Mad Catz Global Limited entity (formerly Mad Catz interactive). Its new leaders intend to revive the brand.

As Selena Chang, marketing director at this “new” Mad Catz, explains: ” By listening to players around the world, we plan once again to forge a path of innovation in the community. Gaming equipment. And we are already working on the delivery of products that we believe will improve the players’ capabilities and will do justice to Mad Catz. ”

The range also consists of GLIDE 16, 19, 21, 38, Chameleon, STRIKE 2. And four keyboards and Es Pro + and FREQ 2/4 headphones.

Since it takes some real novelties to present. Also, the company takes the opportunity to reveal the RAT Air, a wireless mouse that goes from the battery. As it gets power by induction via a different mat – and RGB please – plugged into USB to the computer.

A technology that is not new ( we had tested the Textron Freenetix more than ten years ago!). But that Mad Catz uses to stand out and offer a very light mouse. The RAT can also transform into a wired mouse. So, just connect a USB cable (supplied). On the technical side, it is a RAT 6. That is a  RAT 6, but with a PMW3360 optical sensor rather than a laser sensor.

In the keyboards area, the new FREQ4 is a complete mechanical keyboard with an aluminum chassis and RGB backlight, while on the helm side. Also, the FREQ4 features 40mm neodymium membranes and a metal structure.

All these products will be presented at the CES from 9 to 12 January.
