CD Projekt sued again for “Cyberpunk 2077”

CD Projekt has confirmed that it has received a new class-action lawsuit from a law firm representing its own investors. The Polish company had said a few weeks ago that it would defend itself against the first lawsuit it received, which accused it of misleading investors about the status of Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The company says that “the content of the claim, including its subject matter and scope, is the same” as the previous claim. In addition, CD Projekt notes that the lawsuit “does not specify the number of damages sought,” adding that it will “take vigorous measures to defend against such claims.”

It should be recalled that the study is also being investigated by the Polish Competition and Consumer Protection Authority. Malgorzata Cieloch, a spokeswoman for the agency, said that CD Projekt will be charged 10% of annual sales if they fail to deliver patches that fix the game’s problems.

Moreover, this new demand comes after the Poles’ latest apology for the state of the game through a video presented by CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski. The company also commented on its development plans for 2021.

As if all that wasn’t enough, a report surfaced yesterday in which the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 themselves hope that the game will be ready by 2022. They also commented that the 2018 demo (which you can see above) was “completely fake”. Undoubtedly, the statements sparked a lot of controversies.
