Apple has removed the “Modern Buckle Band” watch strap with the distinctive buckle from its product range in the USA without prior notice. Apple seems to have stopped selling the watch strap that has been in the Apple Watch range since the first Apple Watch. In Germany, it can still be seen on the Apple website.
Apple regularly updates its range of watch bands and brings new colors to the market, sometimes also presenting a completely new model. Now, however, it is the first time in the USA that Apple has completely painted a bracelet. In Germany, the model can still be seen on the Apple website.
The Modern Buckle was only available in the size 38mm and with a price of 159 Euro very expensive. Most Apple Watch users only have one or two bands, usually something in the sports/loop or nylon class. Others have stocked up from third-party manufacturers, some of which offer surprisingly good quality. Apple’s bracelets are also good, but very expensive.
If you live abroad and still want to have a Modern Buckle, you should quickly look up in retail or on eBay, because it is quite conceivable that the remaining stocks will run out quickly. Whether Apple will remove the tape from its website in Germany is not known. Four models are currently available in brown, black, pink and blue.
The Modern Buckle was introduced in parallel to the first Apple Watch and has since been revised several times and added to the range with new colors.
