Apple has once again been sued. This time, the company is accused of launching Apple Watches with a susceptible display. According to the statement of claim, Apple knew about the defects much earlier, but it still marketed the product.

The lawsuit applies to all generations of Apple Watch. They were supposed to be introduced into the projections with a display already susceptible to damage, which would possibly crack, break down or fall off the watch. What is more, the Cupertino company is accused of knowing perfectly well about these defects, but it has still launched its products on the market.
According to PatentlyApple, the lawsuit accuses all Apple Watches of having the same defect – it makes them vulnerable to loss, damage, or disconnection without the user’s fault. Sometimes it can happen even a few days or a week after buying the equipment in the store.
The claim amounts to 5 million dollars in compensation. Apple has confirmed that there is a possible display failure in Apple Watch. If you are afraid that you could buy such a flawed watch, you can always be interested in the products of the competition, e.g. Samsung Gear smartwatches. Nor are they as expensive as Apple Watch.
