ASUS also presents its new AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 and 56 ROG STRIX OC

ASUS today introduced its custom models of AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 and 56, which directly enter its STRIX range of graphics cards. The new ROG STRIX RX Vega 64 OC and ROG STRIX RX Vega 56 OC should arrive at the beginning of December, although for now, ASUS has not published its final specifications.

From what we can see from the images, both cards will include the same heatsink that we have seen in other ROG STRIX models in NVIDIA cards, with ASUS Aura RGB LED lighting and three IP5X fans from the manufacturer. The radiator comes in new format because the AMD Vega has no memory chips around the GPU, but concentrates everything in the same GPU package thanks to the HBM2 memory.

The radiator seems to equip the design of seven heat pipes that we have seen so far, with direct contact with the GPU chip, which distributes the entire thermal load between the two separate radiators. Of course, the size of this is a triple slot, due to the thermal needs of the new AMD cards with very high TDP.

For now, we know only the price of the ASUS ROG STRIX RX VEGA 64 OC. That will reach the market with a recommended amount of € 740.
