AMD Ryzen 4000 ‘Renoir’ appears on ASRock DeskMini SFF PCs

The APU in question appeared under the code name 100-00000000146-40_42/35_Y. The first part of the code name contains the OPN (Ordering Part Number), which is the same as that of the Ryzen 7 4700G.

The Ryzen 7 4700G is expected to be the flagship of the AMD Zen 2 APU family. The 7 nm processor has 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 3.6 GHz base clock with 65 W TDP. The maximum clock rate of the Ryzen 7 4700G is rumored to be 4.45 GHz. As for graphics, the Ryzen 7 4700G will potentially have up to 8 Vega Computing Units (CUs) operating at 2100 MHz.

The Ryzen 7 4700G appeared next to the ASRock X300M-STX motherboard. As the name suggests, the X300M-STX is based on the AMD X300 chipset and the AM4 socket. The motherboard allows overclocking, so it was carefully tailored for enthusiasts, and the name also indicates that the X300M-STX will retain the mini-STX form factor (147 x 140 mm).

If the motherboard is even remotely similar to its predecessor, it should be equipped with two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots, two 3.0 x 4 M.2 PCIe slots, and a diverse list of video outputs, including an HDMI 2.0 port, a D-Sub port, and a DisplayPort 1.4 output.

There have been many leaks about the Ryzen 4000 “Renoir” CPUs, but we still do not know exactly when they will be released. We’ll keep you posted.
