Netgear Arlo is the company’s new security camera, which has already been released, after being announced late last year along with other products in the company’s Arlo home surveillance line.
The new Arlo Netgear camera retains the IP-65 weather-resistance and rechargeable battery included in all other Arlo products, plus it features motion detection, the ability to change detection sensitivity, colour temperature and even a red flash that serves as a warning to intruders who may sneak into our home.

Netgear Arlo’s lighting reaches a maximum brightness of 400 lumens but is capable of saving energy with the included battery saving feature to switch between day and night cycles, maximizing energy efficiency and thus battery life. This light is also compatible with the Arlo solar panel which is sold separately for $79. Netgear Arlo includes IFTTT and Alexa support, so you can control its functions with ease. Also with the existing Arlo home application, with which you can program it’s on/off cycles.
The Netgear Arlo security camera goes on sale May 25 for approximately $149 for a unit, $249 for a pair, or three units for $349 through its Amazon store.
