The Logitech Circle 2 is a new version of Logitech’s longer-available security camera. The most important innovation is that instead of a field of view of 135 degrees, the Logitech Circle 2 now shows 180 degrees. So we really have a huge area to a single eyesight. The device still records its data with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Which also needs more space requirements and there is a need for alternatives such as the Cam IQ from Nest.

Logitech now also offers the rainwater-resistant Logitech Circle 2 in a cable-connected version. This one also comes with a battery. The latter one is to provide the camera with sufficient energy for the movement sensor and for occasional recording at the door for up to three months. This is recognizable by the colors of a small ring around the lens. It can also communicate with the integrated microphone and loudspeaker over the device.

The cable-bound version of the Circle 2 can already be pre-ordered for about 200 euros. But the version with battery costs 230 euros. Also, the accessories such as the adapter for the socket or the ring for windows cost extra. Delivery schedule will start in July 2018.
