Apple can work on the Apple Watch Round. This reveals a new patent
Apple has just obtained a patent for an electronic gadget that has a “curved-edge display,” which, as you can see from the figure below, means that the company has just patented a circular-edge gadget smartphone. The company also explains in the patent any technical obstacles to the creation of a round digital watch.
The patent was filed in January 2016, meaning Apple was thinking about the round clock during the early generation of its equipment. If the company only released such a watch on the market, it would finally catch up with other large companies, such as Samsung, which has been offering such gadgets for some time now.
Of course, the fact that Apple has applied for such a patent does not automatically mean that, for example, we will see a round Apple Watcha already in the autumn. It may take years for such a watch to appear on the market, and what’s more, the company can simply put the patent on the shelf and do nothing about it.
