In the education sector, we have the two most significant players: Microsoft and Google. Both companies are fighting for a government of souls every day when it comes to providing equipment for schools and universities. Now it seems that Apple will also return to this race full-time. One idea is to launch a cheap iPad.
Apple brings a low-cost iPad to market and invests more in education
Apple plans to get back to its roots, at least when it comes to education. The company is increasing its interest in this sector and plans to release a variety of educational software and iPads, at least regarding price and budget. All this to fight more efficiently against the leaders in this field, i.e., Google and Microsoft.
Cheap Ipad in next year?
According to sources quoted by Bloomberg, Apple plans to show a new version of its cheapest iPad to be used in the education sector. Also, the company will soon be presenting new software with a purely educational application. Apple itself has so far refused to comment. If you are interested in the iPad price range, you can also buy it in Polish shops.
That will be the first such movement for Apple since 2012 when it introduced the eBook Design Education Software. It will be quite a challenge to enter this market. Google now has a 60% share thanks to its Android Chromebooks and tablets. Microsoft, on the other hand, has a 22% shareholding. Apple is 17% old so far, but as you can see, it is hoping to cut a more significant piece of the cake.
