Apple Books is Apple’s new mobile app that will replace the veteran iBooks this fall with the release of the new version of iOS, iOS 12. This is an ambitious project by Apple to enable users of iOS, iPhone and iPad devices to discover and enjoy both electronic books and audiobooks in a comfortable and simple way.
Apple Books, Apple’s new app for eBooks and Audiobooks
The new application will offer users access to both those titles they are currently reading or listening to and a list of titles they wish to read or listen to in the near future, as well as personalized recommendation functions based on their readings and listenings. You will also have a history, or rather, a timeline of all those titles that you have read and listened to over time.
Apple said in a statement that the new application will for the first time have a prominent tab dedicated to audiobooks, so that users can listen to audiobooks both at home and on the road via iPhone, iPad, and even cars with CarPlay.
Apple Books is basically an in-depth redesign of the popular iBooks application, where in addition to an improved design, it offers a different and updated experience so that users can discover and enjoy electronic books and audiobooks, and do not opt for the services of the competition.
In this regard, at the time of its launch, it will arrive with its own bookstore, Book Store, with a multitude of ways to choose electronic books and audiobooks for purchase, including a library with all the titles that users have purchased.
Book Store will reach 51 countries, and there will also be free books for 155 countries.
