Apacer has introduced its new SSD NVMe AS2280P2 series, which are designed to provide a balance between SATA and high-end NVMe performance at a low price.
Apacer AS2280P2, your new mid-range SSD
The new AS2280P2 series consists of three models. The first one has a capacity of 120 GB and offers data reading speeds of up to 1.55 GB and writing speeds of up to 530 MB/s. The 240GB model has a maximum read speed of 1.65GB/s and a write speed of 950MB/s. The last model has a capacity of 480 GB. The maximum reading speed of the data is the same as that of the previous one. The maximum recording speed is slightly higher at 1 GB/s. With random reading and writing (4K), all models reach 92,160 IOPS.
As the name suggests, the AS2280P2 SSD comes with the standard M.2-2280 format (22mm wide, 80mm long), which uses 3D TLC NAND and a 3×2 PCIe Gen 3×2 interface to deliver high-performance levels at minimal cost.
The AS2280P2 will come in three capacities, with 120GB at the bottom of the lineup, a 240GB model for the mid-range and a 480GB model for the high-end. Each model will be covered by a three-year warranty, and higher-end models will ship with faster sequential read/write speeds.
