Silverstone announces RGB variants of its AP series fans with the AP142-ARGB, AP122-ARGB. The range includes 120 and 140 mm solutions with addressable RGB backlighting.
These AP RGBs propose an adoption of RGB (24 LEDs) in order to reinforce their design and the possibilities of customization of a box. The backlight can be customized with a compatible control box or motherboard.
The frame benefits from a design called Air Penetrator supposed to improve the air flow. It consists of two parts, the one surrounding the transparent blade system is in charge of diffusing the light. The Air Penetrator takes the form of a grid to move the air flow in a straight line.
AP142-ARGB and 122-ARGB, details and prices
The AP142-ARGB is a 140 mm PWM fan. Its rotation speed is calibrated between 500 and 1500 rpm for a maximum noise pollution of 23.33 dBA. At full throttle, the air flow rate is 44.2 CFM at a statistical pressure of 1.65 mm H2O.
The 120 mm version, the AP122-ARGB, calibrates its speed between 500 and 1800 rpm. At full speed, it ensures an air flow of 25.5 CFM for noise pollution of 23.54 dBA and a static pressure of 2.13 mm H20.
These two fans are positioned at the top of the range with respective prices of 34.5 € and 29.50 €.
