Large screen, high resolution, competitive price – AOC Q3279VWF

The QHD resolution is increasingly popular since it dismantles the gap between Full HD resolution and 4K. While 4K is complicated to run in most games with current GPUs, Full HD resolution, which has been the standard for years, seems to be pixelated, especially on larger screens. With the Q3279VWF, AOC has found the perfect solution in a large 31.5 “size with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, resulting in a high pixel density of 93.24ppp. In comparison, a 24 “screen and Full HD resolution has a density of 91.79ppp.

MVA to win

The Q3279VWF features a 31.5 “MVA panel and QHD resolution with a response time of 5ms and a refresh rate of 60Hz. This panel has an actual color depth of 8 bits + FRC (Frame Rate Control), which results in a perception of 1.07 trillion colors, matching 10-bit monitors. Knowing that conventional displays have 16.7 million colors for an order of 100, the Q3279VWF is, therefore, able to show greater depth, more vivid colors and homogeneously achieve color gradation.

The large 31.5 “panel of the Q3279VWF provides a significant amount of screen space. From home users who enjoy watching a 1080p video and performing multiple tasks with different applications; even professionals or designers who need more screen space, in both resolution and size, to run an image or video editing software, would be satisfied with the Q3279VWF. The MVA panel of the Q3279VWF also has an incredible static contrast ratio of 3000: 1 for excellent immersion and image quality.

While related affordable monitors come with TN panels that have lower viewing angles, the Q3279VWF’s MVA panel offers wide viewing angles, up to 178 ° / 178 ° horizontally, which approaches the IPS panel levels. With the best color uniformity at any viewing angle, even moving viewers can enjoy vivid colors and crisp detail. Thanks to AOC’s Wide Color Gamut technology, the Q3279VWF can cover 88% of the NTSC color gamut.

Ready for action

Players should also take note, because the Q3279VWF is a very capable gaming monitor, and is equipped with AMD’s FreeSync compatibility. By matching the frame rate of the graphics card with the monitor’s frame rate, this technology eliminates the parade, tearing and choppy images of the game.

Therefore, users will not need to enable V-Sync in their games to artificially combine the GPU box frequency output with the monitor refresh rate, and in doing so grapple with an increase in the input delay. In addition to an affordable price, the Q3279VWF has a response time of 5 ms and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, which makes this monitor suitable for most casual gamers.

Good for your eyes

Like many other AOC monitors, the Q3279VWF also incorporates Flicker-Free technology. After a long time, conventional monitors, which use pulse modulation (PWM) to adjust the brightness, can cause eye fatigue and discomfort due to blinking. The flicker-free technology uses a direct-current (DC) backlight system to improve user comfort.
