A few weeks after the launch of the first preview for developers, as the rumors point out, little by little new features of Android P, the next version of Google’s operating system for mobile devices, is becoming known.
Android P will allow the use of mobile devices such as keyboard or mouse via Bluetooth
In this sense, support for screens with unusual display formats (until now, such as devices with “notch”). That is to the update to a new version of Material Design. Or to the possibility of almost automatically blocking commercial calls and of unknown numbers. Also, it has now been known that Android P will also make it possible for native devices to become wireless keyboards or mice for other devices. Such as desktop computers, through Bluetooth connections.
The guys from XDA Developer have observed that in Android P the Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) profile has finally been enabled. So, allowing applications to be used to efficiently convert mobile phones into keyboards, mice, joysticks. Or other wireless input devices for other devices through Bluetooth connections.
While there are third-party applications that enable it. Or even made it possible in some specific phone models of companies like Samsung or Huawei. And this feature has not been activated by default through numerous versions of Android that have been coming out over these years.
While this will not change the way we use our Android devices in our day to day. And it does bring new possibilities of use, and above all, it can avoid the need to buy additional peripherals. So, taking advantage of the screens of our phones to use together with other devices.
