Android P stops alerting if an app stops working

Typically, when an application on Android crashes and stops working, we get a dialog box. It informs users that the application is not working and what we can do. But it looks like this box will no longer be part of the operating system. Because with Android P we’re not getting this notice anymore.

Android P stops warning if an application stops working

This change has been observed in this new beta version for developers. Since the dialog box that informs us that an application does not work will not be activated. A change that we do not know is entirely positive.

Changes in Android P

Therefore, Android P will not launch this notification as soon as there is some kind of problem with one of the applications on the device. However, we have the possibility to activate this dialog box manually. Since the function will still be present in the operating system. But it will be the users who will have to do this.

But Google’s idea is to use this option less and less. Because the company has launched new developer tools. It is hoped that they will be able to provide a simple solution to this type of situation. So that the user has a better experience and fewer failures.

What we don’t know yet is whether this dialog box will be maintained in the final version of Android P. It is possible that it will, although Google has not commented on it. So we’ll have to wait for new versions to see if it holds or not.
