Android 14 will allow simpler bloatware removal

Bloatware, that is, useless apps that we do not have installed and that cannot be removed is one of the main problems with Android and its customization layers. Fortunately, in Android 14 there are measures to solve this problem. It will be easier to remove unwanted and unused applications from our phones.

Android 14 will do away with bloatware

This is a new feature that was seen in the preview version of the operating system and promises to be one of the most appreciated new features for users.

Delete apps you don’t want to use

Phones with the Google operating system have a number of apps installed by default, whether they are apps from Google itself or from the phone brand. In many cases, it’s not possible to remove these apps, even if they are apps we don’t use or don’t want. Fortunately, Android 14 will give us more options against such apps. There will be a new menu called Background Installed Apps, which are considered bloatware.

Apps that appear in this menu and that the manufacturer, operating system, or operator has installed without the user asking for it can be removed. Thus, you can easily do without the apps that we consider bloatware in the operating system.

As we said, this is something that was seen in the preview version of Android 14, so we’ll have to wait a while until it’s official. Users of the operating system have certainly been waiting for this for a long time. This way we can delete applications that we don’t want on the phone much easier.
