AMD’s upcoming product launches have reportedly already been revealed by well-known leaker @Broly_X1, who hints at a Zen 4 processor and RDNA 3 GPU launch by the end of next year.
AMD Zen 4 and RDNA 3 to be launched in Q4 2022
AMD plans to launch its next-generation processors and graphics cards next year. The launch of the architectures might be further away than you might think, hinting at late 2022.
AMD has yet to confirm a roadmap for its upcoming releases, so we’ll have to rely on leaks to figure out when the red company’s new processors and graphics cards will hit the market.
What we know right now is that Zen 4 will use a 5nm process node from TSMC, but the source doesn’t comment on the latest information about Raphael, the AM5 socket, and other new features.
The short tweet from @Broly_X1 only references Q4 2021 (Q4 2022), so the next-gen processors and graphics cards would coincide with the same dates if they were launched together.
To close the gap between Zen 3 and Zen 4, AMD plans to release an update that could be called Zen 3 XT and will feature a 3D V-Cache for improved gaming performance. An update for the RDNA 2 graphics cards is not planned, so we will still have to deal with the RX 6000 series for up to one and a half years.
