AMD develops new threadripper processors under the codename Castle Peak. The upcoming CPUs have been published in the Geekbench database. On this page, you can learn more about the partly technical specification. The chip has 32 cores and 128 MB third level cache.
AMD Threadripper Next Generation to compete with Intel
Not long ago, AMD confirmed that they were actually preparing new threadripper processors. Recently, one of the chips was detected in the Geekench benchmark database. The CPU code-named 100-00000000000000011-11 promises to be truly impressive.
Geekbench identified the new AMD threadripper as a 32-core processor with up to 64 threads. The CPU can work with a clock rate of up to 4.3 GHz (base frequency is 3.6 GHz) and has up to 128 MB third level cache. This is twice as much as the Threadripper 2990WX processor.

Also, we know that the AMD 100-00000000000000011-11 processor contains about 2 MB L1 and 16 MB L2 memory. Further information is not known. However, we can see that the manufacturer will raise the bar even higher for Intel with the new threadrippers. The latter company is already feeling the competition and everything is for the benefit of us, i.e. the customers.
Interestingly, AMD is also preparing a new processor from a lower price range. This is the Ryzen 5 3500 CPU, which will be a very interesting alternative to Intel’s Core i5 chipsets.
So a monster comes up. Also price-wise – or at least that’s how it looked with the predecessor models of the series.
