The AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS and Ryzen 7 5800HS Creator Edition processors are announced, and the Yoga Slim 7 Pro notebook is one of the first to get them.
AMD Ryzen 5900HS and 5800HS Creator announced with higher clock speeds
The Ryzen HS series processors will no longer be reserved for the “thin” ASUS laptops, but will also reach other manufacturers like Lenovo and its Yoga 14S, albeit with special variants called “Creator Edition”.
Although they don’t give too many details about the specs, we know that they will have higher clock rates than normal. According to Lenovo’s specs, both processors will have higher base clock speeds than the original units, around 300MHz higher on the Ryzen 9 5900HS Creator (3.3GHz) and 400MHz higher on the Ryzen 7 5800HS Creator (3.2GHz).
The default TDP was also not disclosed, but the clock speeds could match the Ryzen 7 5800H at 45W, while HS could be 35W by default.
The Lenovo Yoga 14S is equipped with a Ryzen 7 5800HS running in 45-Watt mode. Performance would be up to 75% higher than other laptops with this CPU at 15W.
Lenovo’s notebooks will feature a discrete Nvidia GeForce MX450 GPU and display up to 14 inches. These displays offer a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a brightness of up to 400 nits.
These HS processors are also used in the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, which, however, is aimed at gamers, while the Lenovo notebooks are intended for content creators.

The Creator Editions models could be the last additions before the jump to the “Rembrandt” generation APU.
