From the United States, we already see significant price reductions in the entire AMD Ryzen 2000 CPU family, i.e. the second generation of CPUs based on the Zen+ architecture along with a 12nm manufacturing process.
The processors of the AMD Ryzen 2000 series are offered at a discount to clear stocks before the Ryzen 3000 series arrives. The AMD Ryzen 3000 Series processors were previewed by AMD at CES 2019. They then only showed a technical sample to show the future architecture. The new generation means that the second generation will become “obsolete” and above all the inventory will have to be cleaned up. To clean up the inventory, there is nothing better than to reduce the price of the processors. Especially in Amazon and the United States there are interesting price reductions of Ryzen based on the 12nm seen already.
AMD Ryzen 3000 ZEN 2 paves the way for the market by killing youngsters
Now, almost 2 months after the launch of the AMD Ryzen 3000, the price of second generation CPUs has begun to suffer a sharp drop, and last but not least, the Ryzen 3000 will represent a major performance leap in all directions, starting with the IPC, reaching higher frequencies, further improving latency and all thanks to a more advanced and sophisticated architecture, Zen2, along with the coveted 7nm manufacturing process.
Although there is no release date for the new Ryzen based on the 7nm lithography, AMD plans to begin inventory clearing. The idea is to reduce inventories as much as possible on the arrival of AMD Ryzen 3000 Series processors. The second generation of Ryzen has gone very well, but the third generation can be a huge leap forward. In addition to this price reduction, there is also room for processors to arrive in the coming months.
