The current RX 6900 XT graphics card, one of the top-of-the-line RX 6000 series, is dropping in price as we get closer to the launch of the RX 7000 series. The data comes from retailers in Germany.
AMD RX 6900 XT drops below €740 in Europe
The price of the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT dropped below 740 euros in Europe, a drop of about 250 euros in a short span of time, which is evidence that AMD and its partners want to get rid of the RX 6000 series inventory as soon as possible, to make room for the new RX 7000 series.
While AMD hasn’t made any statements about price cuts, retailers aren’t lying, and the price drop for this particular model is palpable in the charts, which track prices on a month-to-month basis.
The average price of €750 is the lowest the RX 6900 XT card has been since its launch, we’re talking about a price drop of almost €1000 from the price it was at the launch in late 2020. In the United States, the situation would be more or less the same, but the drop is to $700, where an XFX Radeon RX 6900XT Speedster SWFT 319 can be had for $689.99. Meanwhile, in Europe, the lowest-priced model is priced at €736.
