It looks like Computex 2021 will be a spectacle, as AMD plans to showcase its Radeon RX 6600 XT with 8 GB and its RX 6000M GPUs for notebooks. We will have 4 video outputs: 1 x HDMI and 3 x DisplayPort.
Computex 2021 starts next week, where manufacturers like AMD will present their new products. Perhaps this is the ideal setting to showcase the next RDNA 2 GPU based on the Navi 23 XT chip, leaving the RX 6600 to the Navi 23 XL chip. We show you the leaked image.
AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT welcomes us with 8 GB GDDR6
As the source points out, there is no indication in the photo that this is the RX 6600 XT, but we do see Navi 23 XT and 8 GB GDDR6 on the first label. As the saying goes “white and in the pot, solid milk”, this is an engineering sample lent to one of the partners, in this case, PC Partner Limited.
The label confirms that it is a GPU with 8 GB GDDR6 and that it has 4 video outputs: one HDMI and 3 DisplayPort. We know that Navi 23 XT refers to the RX 6600 family, specifically the “XT” model that will offer 2048 stream processors (shaders). Its maximum frequency will be 2684 MHz and its memory clock will be 16 Gbps.
How do we know that the 8 GB GDDR6 and the Navi 23 XT model refer to the RX 6600? As a point of reference:
- ASRock listed several RX 6600 XTs with 8GB in the EEC.
- GIGABYTE was caught doing the same.
- AIDA64 added support for the RX 6600 XT in its latest update.
- GPU-Z also updated its support to support the RX 6600 XT.
Moreover, we have already reported several leaks about AMD RX 6600 XT specs that targeted this GPU for 1080p gaming. As for its 8GB of GDDR6, we will have a 128-bit memory bus and 32MB of Infinity Cache. It will be AMD’s first lower mid-range GPU to support ray tracing.
We have already reported that its estimated TDP would be 130 W, as it is a model with fairly low power consumption. The RX 6600, on the other hand, will not significantly exceed 100 W and will be based on the Navi 23 XL GPU, which has fewer shaders, TMUs, and ROPs, but the same memory and Infinity Cache.
The price is unknown, but everything indicates that the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT will be unveiled at Computex 2021, on June 1. As for the launch, it is expected to happen in June.
