AMD Radeon RX 5300 leak indicates that we could soon have another AMD budget choice

In the last few hours, there have been clear signs in the Geekbench database of a low-end model of the Radeon RX 5300. Everything points to the fact that AMD will release a new version of its RX Navi graphics card in the near future.

At the end of last year, we had the first indications of a model RX5300, which was on display at an HP Pavilion team, but so far we have little information about it.

The RX5300 appeared as an “AMD 7340:CF” graphics device in the Geekbench database and was identified by Komachi Ensaka as an RX 5300 (not mobile).

Geekbench identified the card with 24 calculation units (1536 SP). The RX 5300M for laptops has 3 GB of GDDR6 memory via a 96-bit wide memory bus, and the RX 5300 for desktops appears to have the same memory configuration. Therefore, this model seems to be based on 7 nm “Navi 14” silicon, the same that powers the RX 5500 series, i.e. a model that has features based on this silicon.

AMD is about to launch its entry-level Radeon RX 5300 on the desktop platform. However, it remains to be seen whether this model will be launched in the AIB (all-in-board) retail channel or whether it will remain OEM exclusive.

Soon we should hear from you about this low-end graphics card. Although it’s difficult to estimate the performance level of this card, if it’s placed under the RX 5500, we could expect it to perform as well as an RX 570 or GTX 1060-1650.
