The Radeon RX 5300 could be an interesting option for those who want to run light games in Full HD.
On September 1, Nvidia planned to introduce its new generation of video cards to the world with the introduction of the Ampere architecture to the market. However, surprisingly, this will not be the only introduction that will take place in the market these days.
AMD presented its new low-end option, the Radeon RX 5300 in a quiet and noiseless way, this new video card has all the new features of the RDNA architecture and reaches those who are looking for a cost-effective alternative to running games in full HD resolution.
Speaking of card specifications: It comes with the Navi-14 chip, the same one used in the RX 5500 XT, also with its 1408 stream processors (22 compute units). However, RX 5300 brings some cuts in the memory part, so that a configuration with 3 GB GDDR6 VRAM, at 14 Gbps and with the 96-bit bus is possible.
The Radeon RX 5300 has a frequency of 1448 MHz in game mode and reaches up to 1645 MHz in boost mode. The GPU offers a computing power of 4.63 TFLOP, compared to 5 TFLOP of the RX 5500 XT. In terms of power consumption, the card has a 100W TFLOP, so only an 8-pin connector needs to be connected.
In terms of performance, the Radeon RX 5300 is aimed at running games at 1080p resolution, which is mainly aimed at competitive and lighter games and is a direct competitor to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650.
In the comparative graphs published by the company, the RX 5300 offers up to 45% more performance compared to its rival, such as the Battlefield 5 shooter, in addition to the advantages of other titles such as Monster Hunter World, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which offer more than 60 FPS in all these titles.
In terms of pricing and availability in the market, the Radeon RX 5300 has not yet announced its arrival or retail value. However, considering the current price of the Radeon RX 5500 XT 4GB, which is estimated at $169 in the foreign market, the RX 5300 is expected to be released soon below $150.
