AMD Radeon 19.7.1 drivers bring additional support for Image Sharpening and Anti-Lag

AMD recently introduced new drivers for its video cards. According to patch notes, the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.7.1 driver provides official support for Image Sharpening and Anti-Lag.

Image Sharpening can be used with DirectX 9, DirectX 11 and Vulcan games with AMD Radeon RX 5700 video cards, and this technology provides dynamic contrast and optional GPU rescaling for improved detail and image quality.

On the other hand, Anti-Lag is compatible with AMD Radeon GCN and subsequent boards as well and can be enabled in DirectX 9 and DirectX 11 games, where the input-to-display response time can be improved with up to 31% delay.

It’s also interesting to note that the new driver adds an “Automatic Low Latency Mode” that allows compatible video cards to communicate with a connected TV and automatically switch to Low Latency mode; and the new Settings Snapshot option that lets you create, save and load your Radeon Preferences settings.

Anyone interested in downloading the new driver can do so from the official AMD website.
