ADATA XPG SX6000 Pro, New SSD M.2 NVMe with TLC 3D Storage

ADATA has launched its latest SSD model, the ADATA XPG SX6000 Pro that delivers extreme performance for the mid-range, let’s get to know it!

ADATA SX6000 PRO, the new SSD for the mid-range

This new XPG or Xtreme Performance Gear SSD uses the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface and the NVMe standard in M.2 format and is a kind of SSD with significantly higher read and write rates than conventional SATA SSDs.

Specifically, ADATA promises a sequential read rate of 2100MB/s and a sequential write rate of 1500MB/s as well as up to 250,000/240,000 input and output operations per second (IOPS) when reading or writing.

Unlike other M.2 SSDs, the SX6000 Pro only has components on one side of the board, while the other is empty. The SSD driver is a Realtek unknown model, and the NAND memory chips utilize TLC-3D technology, which lies between the mid to high range, behind the durability and speed of more expensive (and unpopular) MLCs. As with many other options on the market, an SLC cache is used to speed up the speed of these memories.

An aluminum heat sink is missing, many plates are standard today, but it is still an important addition.

The available versions of the new SSD will be 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. They have a guaranteed service life of 150, 300 and 600 TBW. We usually compare the new discs with the market-leading Samsung EVOs and find that exactly the same durability is guaranteed at a price that is probably lower.

There was no announcement of the price of these new SSDs, which are guaranteed for 5 years. Hopefully, they will bring more competition to the market, and ADATA is exactly one brand that usually offers very good devices at reduced prices.
