Acer is a well-known company for manufacturing computer peripherals and is continuously expanding its range of products. And today, Acer has announced two gaming monitors designed to delight entry-level players, especially those with FreeSync compatible graphics cards. The new XZ1 series is available both in 27-inch (Acer XZ271U) and 31.5-inch (Acer XZ321QU) models.
The new monitors have a curved 144 Hz panel refresh rate and only 1 ms response time within a 16:9 aspect ratio with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440). As we can see, its fast response times make it ideal for gamers.
As we commented, both have curved screens, and the contrast reaches 3000:1. The color coverage is 85% under NTSC and Acer ensures that both monitors are HDR10 capable with the maximum brightness of 250 and 300 cd/m. Because of the maximum brightness it offers, we find it hard to actually offer HDR10, but there it is.
Both the Acer XZ271U and Acer XZ321QU offer 1 DisplayPort 1.2 port, 1 Mini DisplayPort 1.2 port, and 2 HDMI 2.0 ports. Each monitor has two 7W stereo speakers and a headphone jack, as well as a USB 3.0 Type A Hub with four ports. The supports can be tilted between -5 and 25 degrees, rotated +/- 25 degrees and adjusted up to 120 mm in height. Both panels are now available at Amazon.com for $527 and $550, respectively.
