Introducing 5.5GHz in DDR4 for the first time in the world by G.Skill. There is an exciting news from G.SKILL, announces the world record DDR4 frequency that reaches 5500MHz. This is achieved by the Toppc overclocker. This works by using G.SKILL DDR4 technology built with the 8Gb Samsung ICs along with the MSI X299 Gaming pro Carbon AC motherboard and an Intel® Core X-series processor.
They have taken the DDR4 RAM memories of G.Skill, again, to a new record, getting them to work at 5.5GHz. Also thanks to the liquid nitrogen cooling that was introduced in Computex 2017.
The RAM is very expensive, that is not a novelty. It has given an interesting milestone, which may go unnoticed. But G.Skill RAM kit introduces one of the most important manufacturers of RAM.
Toppc Technology With Liquid Nitrogen Cooling
This is achieved by using the technology of Toppc. That is one of the most outstanding overclockers in this world. So they have managed to raise the frequency of G.Skill DDR4 RAM modules. So giving Samsung’s NAND Flash chips for a total of 8Gb. That is mounted on a MSI X299 Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherboard along with an X series processor. Although the processor in this case is not very relevant.
Just last year, a week before Computex 2016, the renowned Taiwanese overclocker Toppc broke the DDR4 5GHz barrier with the G.SKILL memory and the MSI Z170I GAMING PRO AC motherboard. A year later, they raised the bar once more. And this time they became the first to push DDR4 speed to 5.5 GHz under liquid nitrogen cooling. This tenacity demonstrates the spirit of the overclocker in pursuing a faster speed and greater performance of the latest computer equipment.
Tequila Huang, Corporate Vice President of G.SKILL International commented the following:
“5.5GHz DDR4 has been our next target after achieving DDR4 at 5GHz last year. We are extremely excited to finally make it happen along with the Samsung components, the MSI X299 motherboard and the Intel Core X-series processor.
We are seeing incredible overclocking potential for this newly released hardware and we believe these benchmark records will soon be achieved by professional overclockers around the world . “
