G.SKILL continues its quest for the highest frequencies with its Trident Z RGB DDR4 kits. The manufacturer announces to have reached in overclocking the 5GHz with a configuration in dual channel.
Trident Z DDR4, G.Skill 5000 MHz sign in Air cooling and RGB
This prowess is essential because this step is necessary to bring on the market DDR4 strips able to propose this type of parameter setting. For the moment, it is an exercise during an overclocking session. It is also the opportunity for G.Skill to sign a world record with a dual-channel platform.
Moreover, the plan is impressive since this configuration in DDR4-5000Mhz naturally ensured its cooling.
Trident Z RGB DDR4-5000 MHz, details
G.Skill used modules equipped with Samsung DDR4 B-die ICs chips. They took place on an MSI Z370I GAMING PRO CARBON AC motherboard equipped with an Intel Core i7-8700K processor.
In detail, the manufacturer talks about barrette currently under development. They are equipped with RGB lighting and heat sink. This DDR4-5000MHz kit is not yet ready to land in store.
Tequila Huang, Corporate Vice President, G.SKILL International states
“Previously, a frequency of 5 GHz was only possible in extreme overclocking and single channel. We are delighted to share with you that we can achieve this value under normal cooling conditions, i.e., by air […] We will do our utmost to bring this specification to the market”.
The screenshot below, reveals this feat. The DDR4 kit used is a Trident Z RGB DDR4-4700 MHz solution overclocked at 5000 MHz.
