UL has recently acquired 3DMark, but this has not stopped the work on updating this tool, on the contrary. A few hours ago they announced that the new 3DMark Time Spy will be compatible with Ray Tracing, with a view to its release at the end of September.

The new 3DMark Time Spy is just in time to welcome you to Nvidia’s RTX 20 series – a historic milestone in the gaming industry. This will be the first benchmark tool to test the performance of RTX graphics cards with ray tracing. The RTX series will stand out from previous generations through the exclusive use of this technology, up to proprietary RT cores on the GPU for this purpose.

In addition to the next generation Nvidia graphics cards, the tool will also be released on the same dates as Windows 10 Redstone 5, the new Microsoft operating system update.

On the Unigine page, it could not confirm whether we will see an updated version of Heaven with Ray Tracing or whether they will create a completely new tool. Heaven is one of the most widely used benchmarking tools.
