Zenmuse X7, the DJI dron to record professional movies

DJI has introduced the Zenmuse X7, a drone whose base costs 2,700 euros, with lenses that round the $ 1,300 to be able to offer critical recording characteristics. The pack with all lenses exceeds $ 4,000.

It presents it as the first Super 35 digital camera in a drone. So, this comes with a sensor that allows to record video in 6K RAW (in CinemaDNG format), prepared so that it can be edited in great detail even in low light conditions.

The drone is ready for expensive lenses and comes with options of 16mm, 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm. Also, all come with a maximum aperture of f / 2.8. They comment in Engadget that the 16 mm lens has an ND filter 4. Also, all other lenses offer mechanical shutters.

They also have a new color system from DJI Cinema, which preserves accurate colors to facilitate post-processing.

The goal is clear, to reach professional recording studios that can invest that amount to make aerial shots. That would otherwise need more investment in the rental of helicopters or high-altitude recording media is not something primarily cheap.

It is expected to hit the market in early November.
