Zenfone Pro 15: the new premium laptop from Asus

The Zenbook Pro 15 UX550GD features a unibody’ (one-piece) dark blue aluminum body. The edges of its body are pink-gold colored, which, according to the company, give the device a premium look. However, as in computers, the important thing is not only to look but to me, the Taiwanese company has not spared any expense in its components. Therefore, this laptop has an Intel Core i9-8950HK six-core processor in its most powerful version. Users can also configure it with Core i7-8750HK six-core and Core i5-8300H four-core processors.

In terms of graphics, your computer will use the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GPU with 4GB of GDDR5 memory. The DRAM of the equipment can be configured with 8 or 16 GB of DDR4 type. Also, users can have the option of SSD storage up to 1 TB.

Two types of screen to choose from

On the other hand, internal specifications will not be the only ones that can be customized. Users will also be able to choose between two types of the touchscreen on the 15.6-inch computer. The first option is a panel with 4K Ultra HD resolution (3.840 by 2.160 pixels). The second is a panel with Full HD resolution (1920 by 1080 pixels).

In terms of connectivity, we see an 802.11ac Wi-Fi card that allows transfer speeds of up to 1.73 Gbps. In addition, this computer comes with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity which has a higher data transfer rate and consumes less battery power. Users can also take advantage of the two Thunderbolt 3 connectors, the two second-generation USB 3.1 ports, the HDMI cable output, the microSD card reader and the audio connector.

The company also implemented 15 Harman Kardon stereo speakers and a VGA webcam in the Asus Zenbook Pro. The latter could have been a little better in terms of resolution. Finally, thanks to its 71 Wh Li-Poly battery, the company says the laptop will have a 9.5-hour battery life.

The computer will be available in the coming weeks, although its price is not yet known. However, we do not expect the higher specification version to be cheap.
