YouTube Kids has new parental control options

The new dynamic will allow parents to have more control over the content their children will watch, avoiding exposure to inappropriate videos. Following this line, parents will have new options to choose content for their children.

For example, there will be collections created by the YouTube Kids team and trusted partners such as UNICEF. If they choose this option, they will be presented with all available channel collections, as shown in the picture:

There are an interesting variety of channels dedicated to arts and crafts, entertainment, etc. You can choose all the collections, or those that you think will be of benefit to your children.

And for those parents who want to choose each channel or video that their children can watch, they will have a new option that will allow them to select each of the contents that will be configured in the app.

To complement this new dynamic, the deactivated search mode will also be enhanced. When parents disable the search option in the profiles, an extra security feature will be added, as the children will only be able to view the channels that have been reviewed by the YouTube Kids team, and no general recommendations will be shown.

Some of these options will already be available during the week, although parents can still use the current version if they want their children to have more content to choose from and view.
