For the Windows update of October 10, 2018, Microsoft is preparing a new feature in the form of the Your Phone application. This will allow synchronizing different contents from the smartphone to the PC. It will be possible to send SMS from your PC, transfer photos to your computer and receive notifications.
Microsoft has so far used the “Microsoft Apps” application to synchronize with the Your Phone application on the PC. Until now, this application only served as an overview of all the applications that Microsoft provided for Android.
Microsoft has changed the name of this application to Your Phone Companion. Therefore, the probably most important purpose of the application is now made clear by its name. The application can now be found as Your Phone Companion in Google PlayStore as well as in the application list. Microsoft has reacted to comments from Windows experts, who had wanted a clearer name for the application in recent weeks.
Now you can download the application for free from Google PlayStore. It is available for smartphones with Android 7.0 or higher. In the meantime, the company is already working on a corresponding application for iOS.
