Black Shark Helo is a new gaming smartphone introduced in China. The device can be purchased in different hardware configurations – with 6, 8 or even 10 GB RAM. Yes, we finally got the official premiere of the first phone that has so much RAM. Let’s take a closer look at this device, but first, take a look at the prices.

Xiaomi Black Shark Helo has an AMOLED 6.01 inch screen with Full HD+ resolution. It has an 18:9 aspect ratio with no hollows and rounded corners. The display supports HDR. At the center of the phone lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with the Adreno 630 GPU, which is cooled by two heat pipes. The smartphone is available with 128 or 256 GB data memory. The latter only in combination with 10 GB RAM.

Black Shark Helo also has a 20 Megapixel Selfie Front webcam that provides a blurred background effect. A redesigned camera with 12 and 20 Megapixel sensors is located on the back of the housing. The camera is supported by artificial intelligence, which can recognize up to 206 different scenes and makes the optimal settings on this basis.

There were also special game controllers, typical for a game smartphone. If you decide on a version with 6 or 8 GB RAM in the set, you can count on a controller. There will be two in a Black Shark Helo version with 10 GB RAM. Players can also count on a special Gamer Studio application where you can set various parameters for CPU, screen, sound effects or touch. Such configurations can also be shared with other players by sharing profiles. There is also a “bagpipe player” on board to attract the players. This is a backlit logo on the backpacks and part of the side frame. You can see it in the rendering below.

Xiaomi Black Shark Helo also has a 4000 mAh battery. Next, we have 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, LTE modem with support for two SIM cards and stereo speakers. There was also a USB C and a fingerprint reader placed on the backpacks. It all works under the control of Android 8.1 Oreo.
