The Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti is a new, unannounced graphics card that will fall between the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 in terms of performance. Nvidia has reportedly decided to add the mining limiter for the Ethereum cryptocurrency with this GPU, along with support for the Resizable BAR feature.

Videocardz has obtained an image of Nvidia’s GA102-225 chip powering the new GPU, which basically uses the same silicon as the RTX 3080. The source claims that the graphics card is on its way and will launch in the month of May, so the announcement and launch will happen in a few weeks.

The new Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card will be equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6X VRAM memory and the chip will have around 10,240 CUDA cores. We don’t know if the memory speeds are comparable to those of the RTX 3080 (19 Gbps), but if so, these specifications would give it a 20% performance advantage. The memory bus is 384 bits long.

We know that it achieved an Ethereum mining hash rate of 118.9 Mh/s without the limiter. This mining performance was achieved with a memory speed of 21.4 Gbps and a TDP reduced to 278W.

We’ll be keeping an eye on this in the coming weeks with the launch of the RTX 3080 Ti.
